This is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Don’t expect a waitress — it even says so on the walls. You simply walk in, place your order, and pick up your food when it’s ready, similar to fast food but with a lot more character and history in the building. I had the elk burger, and it was absolutely delicious. I’ve eaten all over the world, from Europe to all 48 continental states, and this place easily ranks in my top five. I’ll definitely be back. Ouray, Colorado is truly a beautiful town.

While visiting Ouray we got dinner here and it was yummy. Service was quick and it has open seating indoors or patio. We got the Serrano cheese burger with fries and the elk burger with coleslaw. We got an IPA from the neighboring pub and it was delicious.

I finally had a chance to eat here, it’s my new favorite restaurant in Ouray. I had an elk burger with bacon, cheese, and a fried egg with a side of fries. I also ordered 2 donuts, a powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar one. Man, everything was so delicious. The burger was cooked well and tasted great. Their fries remind me of fair fries, that’s a good thing to me at least, and they have malt vinegar so yeah, they were great as well. I thought I’d give their donuts a try and wow, warm, soft, and just down right good. GET A DONUT!! Man I tell you what, that’s some darn good eatin right there. I like root beer and they have Mug on tap, but I’d prefer small batch, craft type root beer, just a personal preference, this is by no means a knock against Maggie’s. Whenever I’m in town, if they’re open, I’m eating there. I got in just before a rush of people, but they still seemed to get everyone’s order completed in a timely manner. Their prices aren’t bad. As you would expect in a small, touristy mountain town, prices are up there, but I believe it’s worth it. The food is great and the portions are fitting for the cost. The burgers are a good size, not some skimpy burger with some big fat bun and you get a shovel full of fries, think Five Guys lol. I was stuffed to the gills.

Maggie's Kitchen is straight-up awesome and an absolute must-stop if you're in Ouray! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the workers are incredibly welcoming. I even got to chat with the owner for a few minutes about the food—I mentioned how awesome a habanero or habanero/mango burger option would be, similar to their serrano burger. Fingers crossed they add it! But what they already serve is the bomb. The hamburgers, fries, and onion rings taste genuinely homemade and perfectly greasy in the best way possible. Nothing tastes remotely store-bought or like a frozen "heat and eat" meal. Highly recommend jumping in and trying it out!

The burgers are AMAZING. The staff are AMAZING. The service was quick. They have a condiment/topping bar with pickles, onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard , mayo, salt and pepper so you can put whatever you want into your burger. I got the mushroom burger and it was soooo good. Their fries are also done perfectly. Highly recommend this place and the prices are not bad at all

This is the best burger place in town by far. Wonderful character, hearty food, and if you're lucky, you might even get an extra order of fries!
